Yacht rental prices in Dubai, by boat and by hour
Yacht rental prices in Dubai run from AED 750 to AED 3,200 per hour depending on the size of the boat, with crew, fuel and marina fees inside that rate. The cheapest realistic charter is two hours on a 48ft yacht at AED 1,500 total, which carries up to twelve people.

Charter pricing in Dubai is quoted per hour, and the hour is measured berth to berth. Almost every operator on the coast prices this way, which makes comparison easy as long as you check the same three things: how many hours are the minimum, what the rate already covers, and whether the number you were quoted is per boat or per person. Ours is per boat.
Splitting the cost is what makes a charter reasonable. Twelve people on the 48ft for two hours is AED 1,500: AED 125 each, less than a good dinner. That is the honest answer to 'is a yacht in Dubai expensive': it depends entirely on how many of you there are.
Prices move with the season. Between October and April, weekend sunset slots are the busiest hours in the calendar and we do not discount them. Midweek mornings in June, July and August are the other end of the same scale, and there is real room to negotiate a longer charter then.

What is included
- Captain and crew for the full charter
- Fuel for the agreed route, and marina and departure fees
- Water, soft drinks and ice
- Swim equipment, life jackets and sound system
- VAT-compliant invoice with the operating company's TRN on request
Worth knowing
- Not included: catering beyond soft drinks, alcohol, decoration, DJ, photographer, jet skis alongside.
- New Year's Eve and the two nights either side of it are priced separately and sell out by November.
- A 25 percent deposit holds a date. The balance is due on the day, by card or transfer.
- Cancel more than seven days out and the deposit moves to another date. Inside seven days it is retained.
Why the minimum sets your yacht rental price, not the hourly rate
People compare hourly rates and then get surprised by the bill, because the number that actually decides what you pay is the minimum charter length, and it rises with the boat.
The 55ft is AED 1,050 an hour and the 62ft is AED 1,400 — close enough to feel like a small step up. Their minimums are two hours and three, so the smallest booking you can make is AED 2,100 against AED 4,200. That is double, not a few hundred dirhams. The same effect at the top of the fleet takes the 85ft's smallest charter to AED 12,800 against the 62ft's AED 4,200.
When you compare quotes, compare minimum charters. A rate card that lists only an hourly figure is telling you a third of the story.
What is inside the rate, and what sits outside it
On a properly quoted Dubai charter the hourly rate covers the boat, the captain and crew, fuel for the agreed route, all marina and departure fees, chilled water and soft drinks, ice, towels, life jackets and the sound system. Nothing on that list should appear again at the end.
Outside the rate is anything brought aboard for you: catering from AED 120 a head, a deck barbecue from AED 180, decoration from about AED 350, a photographer from AED 800, and any watersports running alongside. All of it is agreed in writing beforehand and added to the balance rather than settled supplier by supplier.
The one genuinely variable item is fuel on a route that changes substantially on the day. A charter quoted for the Marina and the Palm that then runs out to the World Islands may attract an adjustment, and it will be told to you as a number rather than appearing as a surprise.
How to tell a cheap quote from a bad one
Below AED 1,500 for two hours on a private boat, something is usually missing rather than discounted. The three common patterns are per-seat pricing described in charter language, a rate that excludes fuel and marina fees until the invoice, and a one-hour headline that delivers about twenty-five minutes of water once the channel transit is taken off each end.
Three questions settle it before you pay anything: is this the whole boat or a place on it, does the price include fuel and marina fees, and does the clock run berth to berth. Straight answers to all three tell you what you are buying. Reluctance to put any of them in writing tells you more.
What it costs
Per hour, per boat, in dirhams. Multiply by your hours: there is nothing added at the end except extras you asked for in writing.

Questions people ask
How much does it cost to rent a yacht in Dubai?
Between AED 750 and AED 3,200 per hour depending on the boat, with crew, fuel and marina fees included. The smallest realistic charter is two hours on a 48ft yacht for AED 1,500 total, carrying up to twelve guests.
What is the cheapest yacht rental in Dubai?
A two-hour charter on our 48ft boat at AED 1,500. Split between twelve people that is about AED 125 each. Midweek mornings in summer are the cheapest slots in the year and the easiest to negotiate on.
Is yacht rental in Dubai priced per person or per boat?
Per boat, always, on a private charter. If a price looks unusually low, check whether it is a shared cruise sold per seat rather than a private hire. The two are not comparable.
Do I pay extra for fuel or marina fees?
No. Fuel for the agreed route, crew, and all marina and departure fees are inside the hourly rate. Extras are only what you ask for in writing beforehand: catering, decoration, a photographer, a jet ski alongside.
How much deposit is needed to book a yacht in Dubai?
Twenty-five percent to hold the date, with the balance due on the day. Cancel more than seven days ahead and the deposit moves to a new date rather than being lost.
Is renting a yacht in Dubai worth it?
For a group of eight or more, it compares well with a restaurant dinner per head and the day is not comparable. For two people, a shared sunset cruise or a dhow dinner cruise costs a fraction as much and gets you on the water just the same.
