What to send, and what comes back
An enquiry that carries five things gets a boat, a price and the departure times still free in one reply. One that says only 'how much is a yacht' takes four messages to reach the same place.
Send us these five
- The dateand whether it is fixed or you have two or three options. Flexibility roughly doubles what is available in season.
- A rough time and lengthstart time and how many hours. Two hours is a sunset run, three includes a swim stop, four lets you eat aboard.
- The headcounteveryone boarding, including children and infants. The licensed number is a legal limit and a captain cannot exceed it.
- What the day is fora birthday, client hosting, a proposal, swimming. It changes which boat suits and how the hours are shaped.
- Your catering positionbringing your own food, arranging it through us, or drinks only. Bringing your own is free on every boat.
What comes back
Which boats are free on your date, what each costs for the hours you asked about, and the departure times still open. If nothing fits, we say so and suggest the nearest date that does rather than quoting you something that does not work.
A quote names the vessel, its licensed guest number, the hourly rate, the minimum hours and what sits inside that rate. Fuel, crew and marina fees are always inside it. If a quote you are comparing does not name those things, ask before comparing on price.
Then what
Nothing is held until a twenty-five percent deposit is paid, and that holds one boat on one date and time rather than a boat of that size. The balance is due on the day. The berth pin, the captain’s name and your arrival time reach you the evening before.
Between October and April a weekend sunset slot wants two to three weeks’ notice. Midweek is usually free three or four days out, and summer mornings are often available the day before. New Year, both Eids and National Day need a month.
How much notice to give
Notice swings more by day of the week and season than by boat. Between October and April a weekend sunset slot wants two to three weeks, because those are the most contested hours in the calendar. The same boat on a Tuesday morning that week is usually free three or four days out.
In summer almost everything is available at short notice, and the early-morning slots — which have the flattest water of the year — are frequently bookable the day before. If your dates are flexible, say so and say how: “that Saturday or the Friday before” roughly doubles what we can offer you in season.
The dates that behave differently are New Year, both Eids, National Day at the start of December, and the Grand Prix weekend. Those need a month, sometimes more for the larger boats, and prices firm rather than move. If your trip includes one of them, ask before you book flights rather than after.
If plans change
Moving a date more than seven days ahead costs nothing and the deposit travels with the booking, normally usable within six months. Inside seven days the deposit is retained, because a slot rarely resells at that notice. New Year is the one date on the calendar with its own terms, and its deposit is non-refundable.
If we cancel — which in practice means the captain judging conditions unsuitable — you choose between a new date and a full refund including the deposit. That call is made on the morning rather than days ahead, because forecasts here change quickly and moving a booking that then did not need moving costs you a date you wanted.
Smaller changes are easier than people assume. Shifting the start time by an hour or two, adding an hour, or changing the guest count within the boat’s licensed limit are all usually possible up to about forty-eight hours out at no charge. Tell us early and in writing: a change requested three days out is administration, and the same change at the pontoon is a problem.
Questions people ask
What should I include in a yacht charter enquiry?
The date and whether it is flexible, a rough start time and how many hours, the total guest count including children, what the day is for, and whether you are bringing your own food. Those five lines get a boat, a price and the departure times still free in one reply.
How quickly will I get an answer?
Within a couple of hours during our hours, which are 8:00 to 22:00 Gulf Standard Time, daily. WhatsApp is the fastest and works internationally without roaming. An email sent overnight from another time zone is answered the following morning.
Does enquiring commit me to anything?
No. Asking about a date, getting availability and receiving a written quote costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Nothing is held until a twenty-five percent deposit is paid, and no card details are taken to answer a question.
Do I need to know which boat I want before contacting you?
No, and it is usually better if you do not. Give us the headcount and the hours and we will tell you which boats fit. Choosing a boat first is the most common way people end up on the wrong size.
Can I contact you from outside the UAE?
Yes. There is no residency requirement, no licence and no UAE bank account needed to charter here. WhatsApp works internationally, and a twenty-five percent deposit by international card holds the date.
What are your opening hours?
Daily, 8:00 to 22:00 Gulf Standard Time, which is UTC+4. Enquiries arriving outside those hours are answered the next morning. Charters themselves run from first light to well after dark depending on the season.
Where do you sail from?
Dubai Marina Yacht Club, in Dubai Marina. Boats over about 100ft berth at Dubai Harbour instead, which is a different place ten minutes away, so use the berth pin we send the day before rather than the district name.
Is there a booking fee or a charge for a quote?
No to both. Quotes are free and there is no booking fee on top of the charter rate. Crew, fuel and marina fees are inside the hourly rate; catering, decoration and a photographer are agreed in writing beforehand and added to the balance.
