- Sun deck jacuzzi and formal dining for eighteen
- Onboard chef and bar service by arrangement
- Overnight charters at Palm Jumeirah anchorage
Who we put on it
Weddings, launches, brand shoots and large parties: a venue rather than a boat, with a crew used to running to a schedule.
Most people book bigger than they need. If your group sits between two boats, message us: a two-minute conversation usually saves money.
Where everyone sits
Four decks, which is what separates this from everything else in the fleet. Guests distribute across the sun deck, the flybridge, the main aft deck and the saloon, and a group of thirty-five never feels like a crowd in one place.
The sun deck carries the jacuzzi and the best view on the boat. It is the space people photograph and the reason this boat gets booked for brand work.
The saloon seats eighteen at a formal table with a galley a chef can genuinely work in, which is what makes a served three-course menu possible here and nowhere else in the fleet.
Four cabins below sleep eight overnight. As on every boat, sleeping capacity comes from berths rather than the daytime licence — thirty-five by day, eight by night.
Five crew, including a host whose entire job is looking after guests rather than running the boat. On a charter where the impression matters, that is the detail people register afterwards.
What it is right for
Twenty-five to thirty-five guests
Above twenty-two the 62ft is legally full, and this is the only boat in the fleet that goes further. At thirty-five aboard for four hours it works out at AED 366 each — the cheapest per head in the fleet when it is close to capacity.
Weddings and events
Somewhere for a couple to change, somewhere for a ceremony that is not the same deck as the drinks, a table eighteen can sit at, and a crew used to running a schedule to the minute.
Brand shoots and launches
The boat is the venue rather than the transport. Four decks give a shot list somewhere to go, and the crew will hold position for a frame. Drone work needs a permit and about a week's notice.
What it is not right for
A group of twenty, who pay AED 12,800 for the four-hour minimum and spread thinly across a boat built for thirty-five. Twenty-two on the 62ft is AED 5,600 for the same four hours and a livelier day. It is also the wrong boat for a spontaneous booking — the four-hour minimum makes the smallest charter here three times the cost of the smallest on the 62ft.
A charter on the Gulf Royale
Charter time runs berth to berth, so the clock below starts when the lines come off rather than when you arrive. Timings are for a three-hour booking and shift with the length you take.
- 30 minutes before
Boarding thirty-five guests is a twenty-five minute operation rather than a five minute one. Someone from your side at the gangway with the list, and the crew handling everything else.
- 0:00
Lines off. This boat moves more slowly through the channel than the smaller ones and draws more water, so the transit is deliberate. It is also the most photographed departure in the fleet.
- 0:25
Past the breakwater. Guests distribute across four decks and stay distributed: sun deck and jacuzzi above, flybridge, main aft deck, and the saloon with dining for eighteen below.
- 0:50
The Palm or further offshore. With five crew the anchor stop runs itself: ladder, swim gear and floats out, and a host free to look after guests rather than run the boat.
- 1:50
A served meal at the saloon table if a chef is aboard, or a laid buffet if not. This is the hour that justifies the boat over the 62ft.
- 3:00
Speeches, cake or whatever the event needs, with the boat held in position and the coast as the backdrop. The crew will run to a timetable if you give them one.
- 3:45
The run home and the lit channel. Alongside at four hours, which is this boat's minimum.
Gulf Royale against the rest of the fleet
The 62ft Desert Wind is the honest comparison and wins for any group it legally fits. The jump is not the hourly rate but the minimum: AED 4,200 against AED 12,800 for the smallest booking possible. Take this boat when the headcount genuinely requires it, or when the boat itself is the point. Above thirty-five guests no yacht in Dubai is licensed for you and the answer is a private dhow.

Questions about the Gulf Royale
How much does the Gulf Royale cost to charter?
AED 3,200 per hour, with a 4 hour minimum: so AED 12,800 for the shortest charter. Crew, fuel and marina fees are inside that rate, and there is no separate booking fee.
How many guests can the Gulf Royale carry?
Up to 35. That number comes from the vessel licence rather than from deck space, it includes children and infants, and a captain cannot exceed it. Give us your real headcount and we will move you up a size if it is close.
How big is the Gulf Royale?
85 feet, built as a Benetti 85, with 4 cabins and a crew of 5.
Can we swim from the Gulf Royale?
Yes, on any charter of three hours or more. We anchor in sheltered water behind the Palm Jumeirah crescent or off the World Islands and put out the swim ladder, snorkels and floating mats. A 4 hour charter stays under way. There is not time to anchor properly.
What is included with the Gulf Royale?
Captain and crew, fuel, all marina and departure fees, chilled water, soft drinks and ice, swim equipment, life jackets in adult and children's sizes, and a Bluetooth sound system. Catering and any extras are agreed in writing beforehand.
Still deciding? Ask about the Gulf Royale and we will be straight with you.
If your group sits between two boats we will say so, and if a cheaper one does the job we will say that too. Leave a date, or message us. Most of this is faster on WhatsApp.
