Birthday yacht rental in Dubai
A birthday yacht rental in Dubai starts at AED 2,250 for three hours with up to twelve guests, including the boat, crew and fuel. Decoration, a cake, a photographer and a DJ are arranged on top, and the crew handle the timing so the surprise stays intact.

The part that goes wrong on land is logistics: the cake arriving early, the decoration going up in front of the person it is for, the photographer missing the moment. On a boat all of that is fixable because we load everything before you board and the crew know when the cake comes out.
Tell us what the birthday is: a sixteenth with twenty friends, a fortieth with a dozen couples, a first birthday where half the guests are asleep by four. Those are three completely different charters and the boat, the hours and the route should not be the same for each.
Three hours is the right default. It gives you an hour running out and settling, an hour at anchor for swimming and food, and an hour coming back with the towers lit, which is when the cake works best.

What is included
- Boat, crew and fuel for the agreed hours
- Decoration loaded and set up before your guests arrive
- Cake stored cold and brought out on your signal
- Bluetooth sound system and a swim stop
- Crew briefed on the surprise, if there is one
Worth knowing
- Send the cake and decoration to us the day before rather than carrying them down the pontoon.
- Open flames are not permitted on deck. Sparkler candles are fine; a candle-lit cake is not.
- For a surprise, tell us at the enquiry stage. The crew will keep the decoration below until the moment.
Count the adults, not just the birthday party
Birthday bookings grow between the enquiry and the pontoon more reliably than any other kind, and the count that catches people out is the accompanying adults. Twelve children plus six parents is eighteen people, which is a 55ft or a 62ft rather than the 48ft everyone pictures.
The licensed number counts everybody physically aboard — children, infants in arms, a photographer, anyone who is only coming for an hour. It is a legal limit on the vessel and a captain has no discretion over it, so a nineteenth guest at the gangway does not sail. That is a miserable thing to happen at a birthday.
If your number is within two of a boat's limit, take the next size up. The difference is usually a few hundred dirhams; the alternative is a conversation nobody wants to have in front of the person whose birthday it is.
Cake, candles and decoration
Decorating is normal and encouraged. Balloons, banners, a name across the transom, table settings and battery-powered fairy lights all work. Helium balloons need weighting and anything unsecured leaves at the first gust past the breakwater.
The one firm rule is fire. Open flames are not permitted on deck, and that includes candles on a cake — sparkler candles are the usual substitute and crews will tell you what their vessel allows. Confetti, glitter and petals cannot go over the side either: marine littering is an offence in UAE waters and applies to biodegradable confetti as much as anything else. On the deck is fine and the crew will sweep it.
Send the cake and the decoration down the day before if the operator will take them. Carrying a boxed cake several hundred metres along an exposed pontoon in a crosswind is how cakes arrive in poor condition.
Three hours, and when to leave
Two hours is a sunset run with no anchor stop, and for a birthday that usually means the party ends just as it has started. Three hours is the shape that works: out through the channel, along the coast, forty minutes at anchor to swim, then the run home with the skyline lighting up.
For a group with children, take the morning in summer and mid-afternoon in winter. For an adult birthday, leave about ninety minutes before sunset so the light lands halfway through and you come back through the lit Marina channel, which is the best twenty minutes of the evening and the part people photograph.
Ways to do this
Children's birthday
3 hours · 48ft or 55ft
Low swim platform, children's life jackets, a shaded deck and a route that stays in flat water inside the Palm.
Milestone birthday
4 hours · 62ft
Room for twenty-two, an air-conditioned saloon, catering brought aboard and a photographer for the first hour.
Big birthday party
4 hours · 85ft
Thirty-five guests, a crew of five, a jacuzzi on the sun deck and a DJ with somewhere to stand.
Large party on a dhow
2 hours · up to 100 guests
A whole traditional dhow with a buffet dinner. The economical answer when the guest list will not fit a yacht.

Questions people ask
How much is a birthday yacht rental in Dubai?
From AED 2,250 for a three-hour charter carrying up to twelve guests. A 62ft for twenty-two over four hours is AED 5,600, and an 85ft for thirty-five is AED 12,800. Decoration, cake and catering are extra and quoted at supplier cost.
Can you have a birthday party on a boat in Dubai?
Yes, and it is the most common reason people charter here. The whole boat is private to your group, the crew set up decoration before you board, and the cake is stored cold and brought out on your signal.
What is the best boat for a birthday in Dubai?
For twelve guests, the 48ft over three hours. For twenty-two, the 62ft, which has an air-conditioned saloon. For a guest list near a hundred, a privately hired dhow costs far less per head than any yacht.
Can we bring our own cake and decoration?
Yes, and most people do. Send them to us the day before and the crew load them, so nobody carries a cake down a pontoon. Open flames are not allowed on deck, so sparkler candles rather than a lit cake.
Is a yacht birthday suitable for young children?
Yes, on the 48ft or 55ft. Both have a low swim platform children can use, life jackets in children's sizes, and good shade. We keep the route inside the Palm crescent where the water is flat.
