Yacht rental in Abu Dhabi
Yacht rental in Abu Dhabi starts at about AED 900 per hour, arranged through partner fleets berthed at Yas Marina and the Corniche. We do not keep boats there ourselves, so we say plainly which operator you are chartering from and what the boat is.

- Our role
- Arranged through partner fleets, named up front
- Grand Prix berths
- Booked six months ahead
Abu Dhabi is a different sail from Dubai and better in some respects. The water is calmer, the channels between Saadiyat, Lulu and the mangroves are quieter, and you can spend an afternoon without passing another charter boat. What it lacks is the wall of towers. The skyline here is lower and further apart.
The three departure points that matter are Yas Marina, next to the circuit and the best base for anything on the east side; the Corniche, for the classic city frontage and Emirates Palace; and Saadiyat for the Louvre and the beaches. Zaya Nurai Island is about twenty minutes from Saadiyat and sells day passes separately from any boat.
Grand Prix weekend is its own market and has its own page, because the honest answer is longer than a paragraph: only one row of berths in Yas Marina sees the track, it takes boats of 35 to 60 metres, and it is sold as a weekend package six to twelve months ahead. If that is what you are asking about, ask in spring rather than in November.

What is included
- Crewed boat with fuel and marina fees, as in Dubai
- Named operator and vessel confirmed before you pay anything
- Route planning across Yas, Saadiyat, Lulu and the mangroves
- Nurai Island day-pass coordination where you want a beach stop
- Catering and watersports arranged through the local fleet
Worth knowing
- We are a Dubai operator. Abu Dhabi charters are arranged, not owned, and we name the operator before you commit.
- Abu Dhabi water is calmer than Dubai's most of the year, which suits anyone prone to seasickness.
- Zaya Nurai Island day passes are sold by the resort, not by the boat, and sell out at weekends.
Why an Abu Dhabi charter starts in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi is roughly 130 kilometres down the coast from Dubai Marina, which at a charter yacht's ten-knot cruising speed is about seven hours each way. That is a two-day passage rather than a day charter, and it is why nobody runs it.
Charters here leave from Abu Dhabi's own marinas, and that is not a restriction so much as the obvious arrangement — an Abu Dhabi charter should start in Abu Dhabi. Boats berth close to the Corniche and Yas, so the landmarks are a few minutes away rather than a passage.
If you are staying in Dubai and want a boat for the afternoon, charter in Dubai. If you are in Abu Dhabi, or the day is built around Yas or the Corniche, book here.
What the water looks like there
It is a different coastline rather than a quieter version of Dubai's. Abu Dhabi sits across a group of low islands with wide channels and a long Corniche frontage, so the view from the water is horizontal — sea, mangrove and a skyline set back — where Dubai's is vertical and close.
The landmarks are Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque from the water, the Corniche run, Yas Island with the Formula 1 circuit and the theme parks behind it, and Saadiyat with the Louvre. The mangrove channels east of the city are the thing Dubai has no equivalent of at all: sheltered, green, quiet, and full of birds.
The sea is generally calmer than off Dubai because the islands break it up, which makes this the gentler option for anyone nervous about motion.
Getting there and back
Dubai to Abu Dhabi is about ninety minutes by road in ordinary traffic and longer on a Friday evening, so a charter there is a day out from Dubai rather than an afternoon. Leave a wide margin at both ends: a charter time is fixed because the boat has another booking behind it, and traffic on the E11 is the least predictable part of the plan.
For a group it is usually worth building the day around it — the Grand Mosque in the morning, a charter in the afternoon, and back after the evening traffic has cleared rather than into it.
Ways to do this
Corniche and Emirates Palace
2 to 3 hours

Yas and the east channels
3 to 4 hours
Out of Yas Marina past the circuit and Ferrari World, then into the quieter channels behind Yas Island.
Saadiyat and Nurai
Half day
Along Saadiyat's beaches to Zaya Nurai Island, with a swim stop. Island day passes are bought separately.
Grand Prix weekend

Questions people ask
How much is yacht rental in Abu Dhabi?
From about AED 900 per hour for a mid-size crewed yacht, broadly in line with Dubai. Grand Prix weekend charters are priced as packages and cost several times the normal rate.
Where do yachts depart from in Abu Dhabi?
Yas Marina, the Corniche and Saadiyat are the three main bases. Yas is best for the circuit and the eastern channels; the Corniche for the city frontage and Emirates Palace; Saadiyat for the beaches and Nurai Island.
Can you watch the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix from a yacht?
From some yachts. Only Yas Marina's trackside row sees the circuit, and it takes boats of 35 to 60 metres. Anything from 8 to 30 metres berths out of sight of the track and watches the race on the marina screens.
How do you get to Zaya Nurai Island?
By boat from Saadiyat, about twenty minutes. The island sells its own day passes separately from any charter, and weekend passes sell out well ahead.
Is Abu Dhabi or Dubai better for a yacht charter?
Dubai for the skyline and the density of landmarks; Abu Dhabi for calm water, quiet channels and beaches. If someone in the group is prone to seasickness, Abu Dhabi is the easier day.
The questions people ask before booking this
- How far offshore a charter yacht goes from Dubai MarinaHow far can a yacht go from Dubai Marina? About four kilometres offshore in practice, out to the World Islands, which is forty to forty-five minutes at cruising speed.
- How to book a Dubai yacht charter from overseasBook a Dubai yacht from overseas the same way you would locally: send the date, the headcount and the timing, pay a 25 percent deposit by card or transfer, and receive the berth pin the day before.
- How to rent a yacht in DubaiTo rent a yacht in Dubai you send four things (the date, the rough timing, how many guests and what the day is for), and get back which boats are free and what each costs.
